Soul Restoration

My Soul Restoration class has come to an end. The class lasted eight weeks and it truly was "the gift of time." Time to reflect, create, journal, and learn.

The curriculum in the course was broken up by week into different themes. Each theme brought about different activities that were introduced, shared, and elaborated on through video. The videos were created by Melody Ross. There were several different art projects that we worked on throughout the course, but the BIG project was a book we created called our "Truth Book." I don't think I've ever been so proud of something I created! WOW. This book holds A LOT. It is a book that I will continue to look through throughout my a reminder.

Good stuff.
Encouraging stuff.
Cool stuff.
My stuff.

Brave Girl

I just finished an 8-week online class called Soul Restoration. It. Was. AMAZING. Here's a little preview of the Soul Restoration experience :)

I had first come across the class during my holiday break, and immediately could feel the connection...this class is for me! I was THIS close, but missed the registration deadline. Drat! That was the bad news. The good news was that there was another opportunity around the corner, that came rather quickly in April.

The combination of craftiness and reflection seemed like a perfect combination. It didn't disappoint. The online class is led by Melody Ross. I didn't even know who Melody Ross was before the class, but NOW she is someone I want to be like when I grow up :)

She did it anyway...and so will I.

First Post

My first Life With Whimsy post!

I have to say I've been procrastinating a bit about what my first post should be on this blog. Why? I don't know, but I hope it doesn't last! There is this part of me that thought it had to be the PERFECT POST. I would really prefer to NOT have that sort of expectation for this post or any in the I'm going for it!

The purpose of this blog is diverse. I see it as a place to share share about creativity, artfulness, photography, whimsical happenings, etc. Please note that I'm an amateur at all of those things. I'm not sure where this will take me, but I'm excited to get started :)

Ready. Set. Go!
